Yahya Mahamid

November 5, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - November 5, 2017 @ 4:30 pm

Stand with Us presents a discussion and reception with Yahya Mahamid.

“Yahya was motivated at a young age to learn more about the Jewish people and Israel, in order to expand the intellectual boundaries that surrounded him. During the summer of 2014, three young Israeli teens were kidnapped and murdered on their way home from school. During the initial search for the three teens, Yahya joined the campaign calling for the return of the three innocent teenagers. He took a picture of himself with the hashtag, #bringbackourboys which marked the start of his journey as a social media activist. Yahya is dedicated to educating others in the Arab world about the true face of Israeli society and promoting peace, tolerance, and coexistence. Yahya joined the StandWithUs team in Jerusalem in 2016 and has become an integral part of the organization’s mission. He shares his life story with others believing that education is the road to peace.”
